Adding dashboards to the module
Use this procedure to add dashboards to a module. You can either link existing published dashboards or create a new one and group it under the required module for better organization and management.
Note: A dashboard must be linked to a module before it can be published to different levels.
You have two options:
- Add an existing dashboard to the module.
- Create a new dashboard and then add it to the module.
For steps to create a new dashboard, refer to the Creating a Dashboard article.
To add dashboards to a module:
1. From the left menu bar, navigate to Modules.
2. Hover over the module card in which you want to create a category to view the kebab menu.
3. Select Add Dashboard(s). This opens the Add dashboards to Module side sheet.
4. Select the check boxes corresponding to the dashboard names that you want to add to the module. You can add one or more dashboards to the module.
5. Click Done to add the dashboards to the module.
Cloning a dashboard
If a dashboard has been published from the parent to the child account, it cannot be edited directly. To make changes, you must clone the dashboard and then customize the cloned version as needed. Follow the steps below to clone a dashboard.
To Clone a Dashboard:
- From the left menu, navigate to Modules.
- Click the module card containing the dashboard you want to clone. This opens the module's list view.
- Hover over the dashboard name to display the kebab menu (⋮), and select Clone Dashboard. This opens the Clone Dashboard side sheet.
- Provide the following details:
-
Dashboard Name: Enter a name for the new dashboard.
- If the dashboard is published from the parent account, you can reuse the same name.
- However, you cannot use the same name if a dashboard with that name already exists at the same level.
- Description: Enter a brief description of the dashboard.
- Hierarchy: Select the account level where the dashboard should be cloned. You can choose to clone the dashboard at the same or a different level.
- Module & Category: Select a module and category from the list of those created at the current account level. Dashboards cannot be cloned into modules or categories published from the parent account.
-
Dashboard Name: Enter a name for the new dashboard.
- Click Done to complete the cloning process.
