Adding Dashboards to the Global Menu
Use this procedure to add dashboards to the global menu for quick and consistent access across the platform. The global menu allows you to pin frequently used dashboards, enabling you to monitor and analyse key data in real-time—without navigating deep into the module structure.
Note: Only product administrators have the permissions to add dashboards to the global menu.
Why use the global menu?
Instead of searching through modules each time, product admins can pin essential dashboards to the global menu. This ensures that users across domain, organization, and tenant levels can quickly access relevant dashboards from a centralized location.
Steps to Add a Dashboard to the Global Menu
Follow these steps to add a dashboard to the global menu for domain-level, organization level, or tenant-level visibility:
- Log in to the application as a Product Administrator.
- From the left navigation bar, click Dashboards under Dashboards & Reports.
This displays the list of dashboards available at your current account level—Domain, Organization, or Tenant. - Click the Modules view to switch to the modules cards page.
- This displays a list of modules across different hierarchy levels.
- You can switch between domain, organization, and tenant contexts to pin dashboards at the appropriate level.
- Click on the module that contains the dashboard you want to add to the global menu. This opens the module’s list view, where all associated dashboards are displayed.
- Hover over the desired dashboard name and click the kebab menu (three-dot icon).
- Select Manage Global Menu. A side sheet opens where you can configure the global menu assignment.
- Review the pre-filled information:
- Dashboard Name – Auto-populated.
- Description – Auto-populated.
- Hierarchy: Select the level at which the dashboard should be added. The available options are:
- All Accounts: Adds the dashboard to the selected menus across all accounts, regardless of their hierarchy level.
- Domain: Adds the dashboard to the selected menu within the specified domain-level account.
- Organization: Adds the dashboard to the selected menu within the specified organization under the chosen domain.
- Tenant: Adds the dashboard to the selected menu within the specified tenant account under the selected organization and domain.
- Choose the Global Menu to which the dashboard should be pinned. Available options include:
- Assets and Risk Intelligence
- Home
- Operations Intelligence
- Reliability Intelligence
- Resolutions
- Security Intelligence
- Usage & Limits
- Visibility
- Select the appropriate Main Menu and Sub-Menu where the dashboard should appear.
- Click Done to complete the action.
The selected dashboard is now pinned to the specified global menu and is visible to users at the selected level—domain, organization, or tenant.
Updating Dashboards to the Global Menu
Follow the steps below to update or remove dashboards from the global menu for the selected accounts.
- From the left navigation bar, click Dashboards under Dashboards & Reports.
This displays the list of dashboards available at your current account level—Domain, Organization, or Tenant. - Click the Modules view to switch to the module cards layout.
- Click any module card to view the dashboards associated with that module or its categories.
- Hover over a dashboard or a category under a module to display the kebab menu (three vertical dots).
- Click Manage Global Menu. This opens a side panel.
- In the side panel, review and update the following details:

- Dashboard Name: Displays the name of the dashboard. This field is not editable.
- Description: Displays the dashboard’s description. This field is also not editable.
- Hierarchy: Displays the currently selected hierarchy. You can modify the existing hierarchy or add new accounts under the selected hierarchy level.
- Menu: View the menu in the left navigation where the dashboard will appear. You can also choose to place it under a sub-menu.

- Click Update to apply changes and update the dashboard in the selected menu and accounts.
If you want to remove the dashboard from the global menu, you can use the Remove option.
