Adding Dashboards to the Global Menu
Use this procedure to add dashboards to the global menu for quick and consistent access across the platform. The global menu allows you to pin frequently used dashboards, enabling you to monitor and analyse key data in real-time—without navigating deep into the module structure.
Note: Only product administrators have the permissions to add dashboards to the global menu.
Why use the global menu?
Instead of searching through modules each time, product admins can pin essential dashboards to the global menu. This ensures that users across domain, organization, and tenant levels can quickly access relevant dashboards from a centralized location.
Steps to Add a Dashboard to the Global Menu
Follow these steps to add a dashboard to the global menu for domain-level, organization level, or tenant-level visibility:
-
Log in to the application as a Product Administrator.
-
From the left navigation bar, go to Modules.
-
- This displays a list of modules across different hierarchy levels.
- You can switch between domain, organization, and tenant contexts to pin dashboards at the appropriate level.
3. Click on the module that contains the dashboard you want to add to the global menu. This opens the module’s list view, where all associated dashboards are displayed.
4. Hover over the desired dashboard name and click the kebab menu (three-dot icon).
5. Select Add to Global Menu. A side sheet opens where you can configure the global menu assignment.
6. Review the pre-filled information:
- Dashboard Name – Auto-populated.
- Description – Auto-populated.
- Hierarchy – Auto-populated based on the current context. Under Target Hierarchy, select the Service Providers or Domains if you want to publish the dashboard at the domain level. To pin the dashboard to the global menu of an organization, switch to the organization space using the drop-down menu.
Similarly, to add the dashboard to a tenant’s global menu, switch to the tenant space from the drop-down at the platform level.
7. Choose the Global Menu to which the dashboard should be pinned. Available options include:
-
- Assets and Risk Intelligence
- Home
- Operations Intelligence
- Reliability Intelligence
- Resolutions
- Security Intelligence
- Usage & Limits
- Visibility
8. Select the appropriate Main Menu and Sub-Menu where the dashboard should appear.
9. Click Done to complete the action.
The selected dashboard is now pinned to the specified global menu and is visible to users at the selected level—domain, organization, or tenant.
