Situations can be filtered out in the situations feed based on the multiple factors which are described as follows.
By All
This is a system generated stream in the drop-down where you can see all type of situations irrespective of priority, status, and the type of a situations. All users of Organization and Tenant can have access to this All situations stream in their respective account. Only Global admin can edit/configure this stream.
By Watchlist
Watchlist contains a list of situations that require close monitoring to prevent them to become critical.
By Organizations
By Organizations is a system generated stream where you can filter the Situations based on the multiple organizations available in the system and it lists down the situations according to your selection of organizations that are available in Resolution Intelligence Cloud.
Note: If you are logged in as an Organization user, you cannot filter out the situations by Organizations. However, you can do it by Tenant(s) where you can see the situations relevant to that tenants only.
To filter out the situations by organizations,
- Select By Organization from the drop down. A window appears on your screen.
- Search and tick mark a box next to your desired organization from the list and/or tick mark a box next to Select All.
- Once you select the organizations from the list, click
to sort by either All Organizations or Selected Organizations to pull the selected organizations to the top of the list.
- Click Apply to get the situations relevant to those organizations.
- Click Cancel to exit the changes.
- Click Reset to clear out the selection of organizations.
By Tenants
By Tenants is a system generated stream where you can filter out the situations based on the list of tenants available in the system and it lists down the situations according to your selection of tenants.
Note: If you are logged in as a tenant user, you cannot filter out the situations either by an organization or by other tenants.
Note: If you are logged in as an Organization user, you cannot filter out the situations by Organizations. However, you can do it by Tenant(s) where you can see the situations relevant to that tenants only.
To filter out the situations by Tenants,
- Select By Tenants from the drop down. A window with left and right pane appears on your screen.
- You can filter the situations using two choices as described below.
- In the left pane of a window, search and check box next to your desired tenant(s) from the list and/or check box next to Select All. (OR)

- In the right pane of a window, search and check box next to your desired organization and/or check box next to Select All.

- Click Apply to filter the tenants that appear in the left pane based on your organizations' selection.
- In the left pane of a window, once you select tenant(s) from the list , click
to sort by either All Tenants or by Selected Tenants to pull the selected tenants to the top of the list.
- In the right pane of a window, once you select the organization(s) from the list, click
to sort by either All Organizations or Selected Organizations to pull the selected organizations to the top of the list.
- Click Apply to get the situations relevant to those tenants.
- Click Cancel to exit the changes.
- Click Reset to clear out the selection of organizations/tenants.
By Streams
These Streams are generated using pre-defined conditions by selecting various attributes and their respective values that are available in the system. See Configuring Streams for more information.
To filter the situations,
- Click Streams from the drop down in the left pane of your situations feed. A window appears on the screen.
- Search and select your desired Stream from the list and click Apply.
You can customize the streams based on the following options available in the system.
- All: Shows all available streams the are configured by you or the other users.
- My Streams: Shows the streams that are configured by me.
- Private: Shows the streams that are enabled with private (Visible to me only).
- Favorite: Shows the streams that are starred as your favorites.
By Favorite Streams
Favorite Streams contain a list of streams that you have marked as your favorite ones. Filtering out by favorite streams display the situations according to your favorite stream in the feed. Any user from an Organization and/or Tenant can mark a stream as their favorite. Learn more on how you configure a stream.
By Recent Streams
Recent stream contains the list of streams that are opened or created recently.
By Date
By default, situations are displayed in the feed for the last 24 hours. However, you can modify the situations feed by selecting the following options.
- Created: Shows the situations that are created new with the respective time period.
- Updated: Shows the situations that are updated some status in their comments with the respective time period.
- Last 12 Hours: Situations aggregated over the last 12 hours are displayed.
- Last 7 days: Situations aggregated over the last 7 days are displayed.
- Last 1 month: Situations aggregated over the last 1 month are displayed.
- Last 3 months: Situations aggregated over the last 3 months are displayed.
- Custom: Click the date field to display the Custom Date Range dialog where you can define a specific date period – start date, and end date to show the situations within that time period.
Quick Filters
By Status
Filter out the situations based on the different status (Signal Closed, Assess, Cancelled, Completed, GP smart escalate, Handed over to MSP, New, Open, On hold, and Pending - Vendor) available in the system.
By Search
Search your desired situation using a respective ID in the search field.
More Filters
You can filter out the situations by selecting any one or more filters from the below list.
More filters include
- Organization,
- Tenant,
- Status,
- Department,
- Asset types,
- Asset Name,
- Class,
- Sub-class,
- Category,
- Sub-category,
- Close Reason.
