This article describes the procedures for setting up and managing system notifications.
System notifications allow users to configure the data source, events, and channels on the system notification page. When an event is triggered from the specified data source, a notification is sent to the configured channel if the conditions match. For example, if you set the data source to ActOn and choose events such as Closed, Created, and Priority Changed, and select Slack as the notification channel, then whenever an ActOn is closed, created, or has its priority changed, a real-time notification is sent to the configured Slack channel, updating users about the ActOn's status. This setup is for Match all, meaning notifications are triggered when all specified events occur.
However, users can also define conditions for notifications to be sent only when certain conditions are met. This flexibility allows users to receive relevant notifications for signals, Situations, ActOns, or entities. Users can also choose the timing during which the notifications should be received. They can choose to receive notifications always, during business hours or outside business hours.
Additionally, they can choose between card or plain body message types to control the information shared in notifications. The card type message will be predefined and non-editable whereas plain text can be a custom message.
Furthermore, users can create new channels directly from the channel drop-down menu.
