Creating a module
Use this procedure to create a module. Modules serve as containers for organizing dashboards, whether they are newly created or already existing. Creating a module is a prerequisite for adding dashboards—dashboards cannot be added or published independently without being grouped under a module.
By structuring dashboards within modules, you can manage and publish them more efficiently across different hierarchy levels (Domain, Organization, or Tenant).
Once a module is created, you can:
- Add existing dashboards to the module.
- Create new dashboards and group them under the module.
To create a module:
1. From the left menu bar, navigate to Modules.
2. Click Create Module displayed at the top right corner of the screen. This opens the side sheet.
3. Specify this information:
Module Name - The name of the module.
Description - The description of the module.
Hierarchy - This field displays the level at which you are currently operating within the account hierarchy. By default, it reflects your current account level (Domain, Organization, or Tenant).
- If you are at the domain level, the hierarchy will be shown as Domain. From this level, you have the flexibility to switch to any organization or tenant space within your domain using the unified interface.
- While operating from the domain level, you can create modules, categories, and dashboards not only for the domain itself but also by switching context to a specific organization or tenant. This allows centralized users at the domain level to configure and publish content directly to lower levels as needed.
For example, you can switch to a tenant space from the domain interface, create a module, and publish it specifically to that tenant—ensuring it appears only at that level while still being managed from the domain. However, the tenant can only view the modules, categories, and dashboards that are published from the domain to its level. It can only edit the modules, categories, and dashboards that are created directly at the tenant level.
4. Click Submit to create the module. This module gets added to the existing cards list in the selected hierarchy.
Editing a module

2. Hover over the module card that you want to edit to view the kebab menu.

4. Modify the details and click Update to save the latest changes.
Deleting a module
Use this procedure to delete a module that you no longer required.

2. Hover over the module card in which you want to create a category to view the kebab menu.
3. Select Delete Module. This displays the confirmation modal.

Cloning a module
If a module has been published from the parent account, it cannot be edited directly. To make changes, you must clone the module and customize the cloned version as needed. Follow the steps below to clone a module that was published from the parent account.
To clone a module:
- From the left menu, navigate to Modules.
- Click the module card you want to clone. This opens the module's list view.
- Hover over the module name to display the kebab menu (⋮), and select Clone Module. This opens the Clone Module side sheet.
- Provide the following details:
- Module Name: Enter a name for the new module.
- If the module is shared from the parent account, you can reuse the same name.
- However, you cannot use the same name if a module with that name already exists at the same level.
- Description: Enter a brief description of the module.
- Hierarchy: Select the account level where the module should be cloned. You can choose the same or a different level.
- Categories & Dashboards to Clone: View the list of categories and dashboards associated with the module. Select the items you want to include in the cloned module.
- Module Name: Enter a name for the new module.
- Click Done to complete the cloning process.
