Assigning Teams to ActOns
Teams can be assigned to ActOns at the domain, organization, and tenant levels.
Domain Level
At the domain level, you can see not only the teams within that domain but also the teams from the associated organization and tenant if the ActOn was created from a tenant that belongs to this particular organization and domain.

Organization Level
At the organization level, you can see the teams within that organization as well as the teams in the tenant associated with the organization to which the ActOn belongs. If the team was assigned to an ActOn from a higher level (such as the domain), it will be shown as a Service Provider. You have the option to change the team from a Service Provider to a different team if required.

Tenant level
At the tenant level, you can see all teams that are part of that tenant and can assign the ActOn to any of these teams. If the team was assigned to an ActOn from a higher level (such as an organization or domain), it will appear as a Service Provider. You have the flexibility to switch the team from a Service Provider to another team if needed.

Note:
- You can choose a team to assign the ActOn and then assign it to either members of the selected team or non-team members. If no specific member or owner is assigned to the ActOn, any member of the team can work on it.
- Non-team members are individuals who are not part of any team but are the users at the respective account level.
Service provider at the organization and tenant level
If you assign an ActOn to a team and an owner at the domain level, the team and owner will be displayed as a Service Provider at the organization and tenant levels. You cannot change the owner of the ActOn from Service Provider until you change the team in your organization or tenant accounts from Service provider to a different team
Assigning a Team to an ActOn
Use this procedure to assign a team to an ActOn:
- Open a Security or Digital Ops ActOn.
- Click Assign Team to select the team either from the domain or organization list to which the ActOn belongs.
- Click Owner to view the list of members in the selected team. You can click the "Non-Team Members" link to view non-team members. You can then assign the ActOn to either a team member or a non-team member.
Note: Use the search option to find the team you want. The same search functionality is available for owners. You can search for owners by name or email ID.
Assigning an ActOn to a Service Provider at the Organization and Tenant Levels
Use this procedure to assign an ActOn to a Service Provider at the organization or tenant level:
- Open a Security or Digital Ops ActOn.
- Click Assign Team to assign the ActOn to a Service Provider. If assigned from the tenant level, the ActOn will go to the default team at the organization or domain level. If assigned from the organization level, it will go to the default team at the domain level.
Note: If no service providers are available to assign the ActOn from the organization or tenant level to the higher hierarchy, contact the configuration manager.
Use Cases
When the Team Assigned to an ActOn is Deleted
If the team assigned to an ActOn is deleted, you can either assign the ActOn to a different team or unassign it. If unassigned, you will need to manually reassign the ActOn to a different team.
When the Owner Assigned has Moved to a Different Team
If an ActOn was assigned to a team member who is later removed from the team, the member will still appear as the owner. You can update the owner by navigating to the ActOns page.
When the Team and Member are Assigned at the Domain Level
If you assign a team and owner to an ActOn at the domain level, users at the organization level cannot change the owner until the team is reassigned from a Service Provider to a team within the organization or the tenant under the organization to which the ActOn belongs. Similarly, users at the tenant level cannot change the owner until the team is reassigned from a Service Provider to a team within the tenant.
The same case is illustrated below:
