This article describes the various features available in Resolution Intelligence Cloud's dashboards that enable you to work efficiently with data.
Dashboard Controls
The dashboard provides various controls to help you customize the data shown in its widgets. The available options include:
Date range
Use this option to select the time period for which you want to view data on the dashboard. By default, the dashboard displays data for the date range selected during publishing.
You can choose from the following predefined ranges:
- Last 30 minutes
- Last 1 hour
- Last 3 hours
- Last 12 hours
- Last 24 hours
- Last 7 days
- Last 30 days
- Last 90 days
The selected date range applies to all widgets on the dashboard.
Data intervals

Auto
Automatically selects the best interval based on the selected date range and data density. -
Daily
Groups and displays data day by day. Useful for identifying day-to-day trends and patterns. -
Weekly
Aggregates data by week. This helps in understanding broader weekly trends and smoothing daily fluctuations. -
Monthly
Summarizes data at the monthly level. Best for visualizing long-term patterns and overall changes across months.
Auto Refresh
Auto-refresh updates the data displayed in the dashboards according to the defined intervals. You can select the following intervals to refresh the data:
- Off: Data will not get refreshed
- 5 Min: Dashboard will be refreshed every 5 mins
- 10 Min: Dashboard will be refreshed every 10 mins
- 15 Min: Dashboard will be refreshed every 15 ins
- 20 Min: Dashboard will be refreshed every 20 mins
- 30 Min: Dashboard will be refreshed every 30 mins
- 1 hour: Dashboard will be refreshed every 60 mins
Filters
You can only view filters icon when the global filters are configured during the dashboard creation. All the selected global filters will be visible on the dashboard page. Learn how to configure global filters in this article.
To access the dashboard in a filtered view,

Click on the funnel icon
seen next to Export button in the right pane.
- Apply the required filters, like department name, that you want to view on the dashboard.
- Click on the Apply button to view the dashboard according to the applied filters.

Time zone Representation
This option enables you to override your local timezone by selecting the desired timezone in which you want to display the dashboard's data.
To override the time zone,
- Navigate to any dashboard that you would like to display

Click
icon at the top right corner and select your desired time zone
The dashboards will be reset to your desired time zone

You can schedule and share any dashboard with other team members within or outside of your organization. Refer to this article for more details.
Other Dashboard options
Editing a Dashboard
You can edit dashboards that are in either published or draft states. When you make changes—such as adding new widgets, modifying existing ones, or removing them—you must publish the dashboard for the changes to take effect.
If the dashboard has already been shared with accounts, you’ll need to republish it to those accounts for the updates to be visible.
To edit a dashboard, do one of the following:
- Click the ellipses icon next to the dashboard (in either the published or draft state) and select Edit Dashboard.
- Click the dashboard name to open the dashboard view, then click the ellipses icon and select Edit Dashboard.
- Click Save as Draft to save your changes without publishing them.
- Click Update to open the Update Dashboard side sheet and make necessary changes.
- Click Proceed to update and publish the dashboard with the latest changes.
Set as Start Page
This option enables you to make any dashboard as your start-up page after you login to the Resolution Intelligence Cloud UI.
To set as a start page,
- Open any dashboard that you would like to set as a start page
- Click
three dots at the top right corner

Select Set as Start Page from the drop-down
Save as Report
You can save any existing dashboard as a report template.
To save as a report,
- Click any dashboard from the dashboard listing page.
- Click
at the top right corner.

Click Save as Report.
A window opens - Enter Title for the report.

Click Submit.
The dashboard will be saved as a report on the report listing page.
After generating a report, you can schedule at desired date & time and share it to others within or outside of your organization.
Exporting All Dashboard Widgets to PDF or PPT
Exporting enables you download a dashboard and share it with others within or outside of your organization.
To export a dashboard:
Click the ellipses icon next to the dashboard you want to export and select Export Dashboard. This opens the Export Dashboard modal.
Choose the export format — either PDF or PPT.
Click Export to download the dashboard in the selected format.
The exported file will include data based on the date range specified during dashboard creation.

Possible Visualizations
There are multiple charts available to represent the data in a dashboard. You can always change the visualization of existing data based on the recommended charts specific to that data. Click button and select the chart that you desire. The existing chart will be changed to a new one that you have selected from the drop-down.

Click button to expand a widget to a full screen view which is available in the dashboard.
Enable Focus
You can highlight any widget by enabling the Focus button at the top of the dashboard, which grays out the other widgets on the dashboard.
To enable focus on any widget,
- Click on the three dots seen at the top right of any dashboard.

Select Enable Focus from the drop-down.
The widget will be highlighted on your screen.
Search field
You have an option for searching for a particular metric value in the table widget. To search for specific data, click on seen at the top right corner of the widget. A search bar appears in which you can enter a name or count to get the details. You can view the information in grid view, model pop-up, and table view.
Viewing the dashboard linked to a widget
You can view the dashboard linked to a widget by clicking on the link provided within the widget. This will redirect you to the respective dashboard page for detailed insights. For this, you have to first add a link to another relevant dashboard while creating a dashboard.
Custom Date Range
You can view the data in a widget based on the specific time interval (for example, daily, weekly, or monthly). To view the required data for a specific time period, follow the below steps.
- Click on the three dots seen at the top right side of your screen.

Select Custom Date.
A calendar is displayed in which you can select a specific date range or directly select the options in the calendar setup. Various options are available, such as
- last three months - Data aggregated over past 3 months is displayed.
- last one month - Data aggregated over past 1 month is displayed.
- last 7 days - Data aggregated over past 7 days is displayed.
- last 24 hrs (Default) - Data aggregated over past 24 hours is displayed.

Exporting a Specific Widget
To export a widget, point your cursor over the required widget and click on the three dots displayed at the top right side of the widget tile, as shown in the following figure.
Exporting a widget can be done in the following ways:
Exporting as CSV
Click on the Export CSV button to export the metadata under that widget in an Excel sheet, which includes dimension and metric names.
Exporting as Raw data
Click on the Export Raw Data button to export the raw data of the widget to the local system.
Download as Image
Click on the Download as Image button to export a widget into the local system.
Information Tooltip
A feature named Information Tooltip is available on all the widgets, as beside the name of the widget. A small pop-up appears that contains the description of a widget, along with the definition of the metric used to show the information when you point your cursor over the tooltip.
Viewing Pages
In the case of table widgets, the list of all metrics is displayed on pages, from which you can view 10 entries (default) per page. To view the next set, click on the arrow marks seen at the bottom right corner of the widget. You can also select the number of entries to be displayed per page by clicking on the number next to the arrows.
Model Pop-up
Offers additional details in the selected portion of a widget. All widgets except the leaderboards that contain model pop-up are disabled at the widget configuration level.

To access the model pop-up, click on the charts or table, a pop-up with all the details about that particular selection will appear.

ActOns
ActOns widget lists the details such as ticket ID, subject, priority, created time, status, response time, resolve time, device name, signal count, assignee name, and the last updated time for that particular ticket ID related to the category of a situation.
To view the deeper insights on a particular ticket, such as a timeline of the ticket, relevant tickets, past tickets, summary, etc., point your cursor over the ticket in the tickets list. A hyperlink will appear on the ticket ID. When you click this hyperlink, it will redirect you to Resolutions Intelligence Cloud.

Entities
The entity widget displays the data related to the entities of different categories with details such as asset name, asset ID, location, type, and status.
To know more about a particular entity, click on a particular entity ID, and a hyperlink appear on the entity ID, when you click this hyperlink, it will redirect you to the Entity details page where details such as entity type, device type, category, etc.

Signals
Signals widget displays the details such as signal ID, subject, the priority of the signal, the external signal ID, ticket ID, and the signal time in the table. Point your cursor over Signal ID and click to get a deeper insight into the signal. This will redirect you to the signal details page in which details such as signal source, the signal ID, associated ticket ID, etc will be displayed.
