This article describes how to perform different actions, such as edit, duplicate,export, delete and view from the dashboard home page.
Dashboard Listing Page
Once a dashboard is published, it appears under the respective module on the dashboard listing page.
The dashboard listing page provides key information, including:
- Dashboard Name – The name of the dashboard.
- Associated Module – The module to which the dashboard is associated.
- Status – The current status of the dashboard, either Draft or Published.
- Global Menu – The global menu under which the dashboard has been added.
- Accounts Shared With – The accounts with which the dashboard has been shared.
- Created By – The user who created the dashboard.
- Created Date – The date the dashboard was created.
- Last Modified Date – The date the dashboard was last modified.
From this page, you can manage dashboards associated with multiple modules. Available actions include:
- Edit – Modify the dashboard details by selecting the Edit Dashboard option.
- Delete – Remove the dashboard by selecting the Delete Dashboard option.
- Export – Export the dashboard content as a JSON file using the Export Dashboard option.
- Clone – Create a copy of the dashboard using the Clone Dashboard option.
- Mark as Favorite – Highlight important dashboards by marking them as favorites using the favorite icon.
- View Audit Log for a Specific Account – Track user activities performed on a specific dashboard using the audit log option.
To access these actions, click the three-dot icon located next to the dashboard name on the left side of the listing page. This opens a pop-up menu with the listed options.
Dashboard Status
Dashboards have the following statuses:
- Draft – This status indicates that the dashboard has been created but not yet published to the selected hierarchy.
- Published – This status indicates that the dashboard has been created and successfully published to the selected hierarchy.
- Draft with Unpublished Changes – This status indicates that the dashboard was published earlier but has since been modified. The recent changes are saved as a draft and are not yet published.
Dashboard status and actions
The following table provides a quick overview of the actions you can perform in dashboards based on the dashboard status and created by:

Dashboard filters
You can filter dashboards using the following options:
- All Dashboards – Displays all dashboards created in the account, regardless of their status.
- Predefined Dashboards – Displays all dashboards that are published to child accounts.
- Popular Dashboards – Displays dashboards that are frequently visited by users.
- Created by Me – Displays all dashboards that you have created.
- Favorite Dashboards – Displays all dashboards marked as favorites.
Editing a Dashboard
You can edit a dashboard by adding new widgets, removing existing ones, or modifying them at any time. Dashboards can be edited in both Draft and Published states.
To edit a dashboard:
- Do one of the following:
- Click the ellipses icon
corresponding to the dashboard you want to modify, then select Edit Dashboard.
- Click any specific dashboard on the dashboard listing page, then click the ellipses icon
and select Edit Dashboard. This action takes you to the Dashboard Edit page.
- Click the ellipses icon
- Make the necessary modifications.
- Click Save as Draft to save the changes and publish them later.
- Click Create to open the Create Dashboard side sheet.
- Modify dashboard details such as the name, description, default date range, module, and category list.
- Click Proceed to apply the updates.
Exporting Dashboards as JSON
You can export dashboards to a JSON file and import them into a different account or module. The dashboards in the published state can only be exported.
To export one or more dashboards as JSON:
- From the left navigation menu, select Dashboards.
- Select the check boxes next to the dashboards you want to export. The Export Dashboard option is enabled once at least one checkbox is selected.
- Click the Export icon to download the selected dashboards as a JSON file.
Deleting Dashboard(s)
You can delete unused or redundant dashboards that are no longer required using the Delete option if you are a global administrator, owner, or user with the manager role.
To delete a dashboard,
- Navigate to Dashboard listing page
- Click three dots
left to your desired dashboard that you would like to delete
- Click Delete Dashboard from the drop-down
A confirmation pop up opens - Click Yes to delete
Viewing Audit Log
Audit logs are detailed records that capture user actions on a specific dashboard. They help track who performed an action, what action was performed, when it was performed, and the status of the dashboard at the time the action was taken.
To view audit logs:
- From the left menu bar, navigate to Dashboards. This takes you to the dashboard listing page.
- Click the Audit Log icon corresponding to the dashboard whose audit logs you want to view. This opens a window displaying the list of actions performed on the dashboard by different users.
- Review the date on which the date was created, the user who created the dashboard, actions performed, the status of the dashboard at the time of each action, the user who performed the action, and the date and time it occurred.
Marking and Removing a Dashboard as Favorite
You can mark dashboards that you frequently use as favorites and remove them from the favorites list at any time.
To mark or remove a dashboard as a favorite:
- From the left menu bar, navigate to Dashboards. This opens the dashboard listing page.
- Click the star icon corresponding to the dashboard you want to mark as a favorite.
All dashboards marked as favorites can be viewed in the Favorite Dashboards list.
To remove a dashboard from your favorites, click the star icon again on the dashboard you previously marked as a favorite.
